LANDSCAPE & ORNAMENTAL GARDENING
 
The Department of Horticulture created a separate division Landscaping & Ornamental Gardening in the year 2002 with the aims of
 
  • Modernize the public Garden without losing its original glory


  • Educate the people who are interested in Landscaping & Ornamental Gardening .
  • Train the skilled man power in ornamental horticulture.
  • Develop unique gardens in Hyderabad namely viz. Rose Garden at Sanjeevaiah Park, Cactus garden at Madhapur.
  • Develop nursery Super markets to compete with international standards & markets.

Modernisation of public Gardens :

 

Keeping in view of heritage components such as Health Museum, Jubilee Hall, Archeological Museum, Jubilee Hall, Archeological Museum and several other structures of Public Garden. The Department of Horticulture intends to develop Landscape and enhance the visual appeal with an innovative ideas.

PG Diploma Cource in Landscape Gardening

The Department of Horticulture introduced a P.G Diploma Course in Landscape Gardening in collaboration with School of Planning & Architecture, J.N.T. University, with an objective to:

1) Know the various plants and their uses.
2) Draw planting plan.
3) Techniques and elements of garden design and their application
4) Preparation of quantities and estimates of cost of works
5) Understand the procedure involved in the tender.
