MUSHROOMS
 
Horticulture department has established 6 Mushroom laboratories in the state, in the districts of Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Prakasam, Kurnool and Chittoor apart from a state level Mushroom laboratory at Hyderabad.
 
The Major objective of the Mushroom laboratories is to produce the spawn (Seed Material of Mushrooms) and supply to the growers apart from organising Weekly Training Programmes in mushroom cultivation as detailed below.

II Spawn: Apart from organising the training programmes in Mushroom Cultivation quality spawn (Mushroom Seed) is made available to the growers.
Rate of Spawn : Rs. 30/- per kg.
In addition to the above training programmes, special training programmes are organized to the women groups, NGO's etc.
